Thread: 1972 blower drain

    1972 blower drain

At the bottom of the blower box is a small drain tube which feeds through a hole in the front deck into the smugglers box.

On a nov 1971 production 911 for MY 1972, what does the drain tube in the smugglers box itself look like? Mine has a ribbed black plastic tube but i have seen posts which suggest/state it is a metal tube with the plastic tube being a late 72/ early 73 item.

Finally, does the tube (plastic or metal) exit through a hole in the bottom of the smugglers box? the floor of my smugglers box was rotted out so i dont have any reference.

thanks for advice, photos very welcome

It's metal but when dealer AC is installed it gets cut out and the rubber tube is installed. It exits out the bottom of the smugglers box.
