    Dave White passing

Dave White left us on Saturday 10/24 after battling Parkinson's.

He left an indelible print on the Florida Porsche racing community. Lots of guys cut their teeth in Dave's shop and his memory will live on with their ongoing involvement in Porsche motorsports; especially vintage racing.

I'm SO sorry to hear this.... Thanks for posting Frank

Dave's shop was one of the first I visited when I started traveling to Florida for friends and work in the 90's...
He was friendly, gracious, and the conversation always turned back to racing..... I'll try to dig up the photos I took at his shop...

He will be missed......... Good thoughts and payers to the family.

He was one of the good guys. When I lived in the Tampa area I visited his shop. Not often enough though.

When I was selling Porsche's at Terrace Porsche Audi near Tampa in 1970 Dave was our service manager. Sorry to hear this.

I interviewed Dave for a feature article in Road Atlanta's '79 IMSA program back when he was GTU champion. Years later when he was a regular competitor in HSR I found myself on track competing Porsche v Porsche. What cool memories. He was one of the good guys. RIP.

I first met Dave back in the 70's when I bought a 914-6 race car from him. He had taken the car off of the showroom floor, prepped it and went racing with Senator Dave McClain. I have attached a picture of the car taken at Daytona back in 1972.

    Daytona sure looks different now.

    Rest in Peace Dave

Anybody know of the owner of the KWM sports racer that Dave raced? Last I saw it was for sale in the Portland area in 2005 or 6. It raced back in period with 73 RSR motor from chassis 571 if I remember correctly. Dave sold a spare case stamped with the same engine number as the KWM (and what should have been in the RSR) to a friend of mine that owned RSR 571 at the time. Did not have a chance to speak to Dave about the history of this case (I have it now). I might like to connect with this KWM owner. It was reported to still have the RSR motor and coincidentally, the original RSR (currently in Germany) is reported to have its matching motor also. Hmmmm...
