A 5 page manual for dealers how to „repair” the 2-stage metallic (silver) colors on cars, since the clear coat went yellow after a few years of selling a new car.

It's tough to tell from the photo Arne but the silver flake seems a bit on the large size. As we discussed the Glasurit is spot on.

Looks much larger flakes in the picture, probably the lighting emphasizes it. During strip-down I found a spot on the driver's B-pillar with original, unfaded and not yellowed silver. We did the test spray before prepping and priming that spot so that we could match. The sample spray out matched it beautifully, both in shade and grain. I'm satisfied with it.

Just keep your right foot mashed and no one will get close enough to notice a difference.

Sounds good. Tough to get a spray card to look right in a photo with a flash.

Yes, it is. But your comment made me second guess it, and I went to go look at it in person again.

Whew! Still looks OK to me...

As I recall much older discussion, it was a change in the size of the flake from smaller to larger that occurred at the time. Thus the formula may not have changed but the materials may have. If we can get more VIN and code data then we can augment the date with a VIN change.
