I would NOT take that fender off,,,ask around, ask local PCA members, ask Rick Berry in Knoxville. Look for hot rod shops.

[QUOTE=whatnot;1014516]Me too. Retired with few responsibilities, the only reason I ever drive my other car, a truck, is when the car is in lol the body shop lol. (Or having preventative maintenance done). It’s ridiculous. I miss this car when it’s not available. I still sit in it in my garage, going nowhere. 10:30 at night, I’m bored to tears and tv makes me even more morose lol. So, 3 or 4 nights a week, that’s when I love to drive my circuit. No traffic. Sleep with a clear head.
I like that idea!! Although I will have to watch more for wildlife.
Any accident / damage affects us all minor or not, depressing. amazing how many times it happens right after paint. Several years ago after finishing the 71 Targa I parked to get a hair cut an elderly woman was backing out oblivious to me I am laying on the horn she hits me & stops about the same time I head a big pop like metal. on inspection no damage her plastic bumper hit on the rear drivers side bumper and poped her bumper in, minor mark on the rubber trim.
About a month later parked at work the owners son backed into the same headlight as yours but no damage to the car, he happily paid me for a new H4. Lucky Stuff!!
Many years ago (1980) having about 90% finished 58 A Coupe, a woman ran a stop sign took the front clip about off and bent the trunk area from almost the windshield to the left. totaling the car back in the day, I did not work for 3 days I was so depressed.
Glad to see things are looking better!
To the tune of 50,000+ miles since I got it 6 years ago!

One more. This, I think is from the burr trail, maybe right before the burr switchbacks, or it could have been moki dugway. Not sure.

@whatnot, like others have said, I’ve been driving my air-cooled cars more and more lately, despite my effort to find a visceral, mechanical, connected daily driver, there’s nothing like driving these early cars.... my 72 911, blucille, lives on the opposite coast from my home, but I still find ways to put almost 10,000 miles on it every year since I bought her 4 years ago...some minor issues here and there, but the moment I turn the key (Or push start as required), I’m smiling instantly
