I am looking for two (L&R) front door pockets - the smaller ones closer to the front of the car, for a 1971 Model. Any condition as long as the top trim part is not damaged.

Problem is that everyone needs the top rail. The pockets can be restored but once the rails are done they're done. You're not too far away. You should take a drive out to Hershey this weekend for the CPA swap. I've had better luck with interior parts in person than online.
So maybe I will have a hard time, or perhaps I am not clear on what I am looking for. I don't need the silver trim itself as I will be replacing the metal trim
I am looking for the top part of the front pockets. However, I expect I may need to buy the whole pocket.

Yes, the top part, the rail, is what is driving demand for these as they are made from some kind of plastic composite that can't be restored. The aluminum trim is irrelevant and good repros are available. I do see top rails for sale on their own from time to time but less often than I used to. Maybe you'll get lucky with another member.
I have a pair of pockets that were modified for door speakers, the top piece is pretty good overall.
I’m out of the country this week, but happy to send you photos next week.
