    Porsche Fender Gasket

Has anyone had experience with the adhesive backed gasket that Porsche developed in later to seal the fender to to front body structure?
would you recommend it for a Long Hood?

If you are referring to what is sometimes called adhesive backed "tape" (that serves as a "gasket), yes that is what I use and I suspect most others use. A roll is somewhat expensive, but enough to do at least 3 cars. Perhaps a member has some left over you can buy. I'm not sure what you mean by Porsche developing this "later." It was used on cars at least as early as 1966. and I believe on all long hoods.

The terostat ribbon is correct for long hoods. A little pricey, but I found it for a reasonable price in the parts forum.
