April Porsha Coffee Meet wrap up

The Porsha Coffee meet on April 14 took us to a Newbury Park industrial/business park about 40 miles from our usual parking area in LaCanada. This is where Kevin McCoppin and his McCoppin Automotive Design (MAD) company resides. We were invited for a tour of his design and build facilities.

McCoppin is a young entrepreneur with impressive design, fabrication and build skills derived from many years as part of a professional TransAm racing team (including an overall championship in 2002). He gave us a brief history of his young business and showed us some components he designs and fabricates, current car builds and a special 911 he created. Unfortunately, we were only privy to it’s form under a cover. There was only a hint of it from renderings on the wall. Public unveiling occurs later this year at Monterey’s Werks Reunion (also see his link below).

Kevin. Thanks again for your hospitality. We wish you well servicing the Porsche community. https://www.yooying.com/mccoppin_automotive_design

    Sherwood,

Did you get a photo of the idiot that locked himself out of his car?

    Hi Dan,
I'll keep you name out of this, but no, your car issue, while a mild diversion, didn't quite attain highlight of the visit. Nice try. However, after much drama, assistance and effort from the peanut gallery, we're glad you (or the un-named individual) were able to access entry into, then carefully find your way back home.

Hope to see you and your spare keys next time.
