    FS: 1972 911T Coupe

I'm just completing a refresh on a non-sunroof 1972 T and have been debating whether to submit it directly to BringATrailer, or to gauge the response here, among a much more focused audience.

Anybody have any thoughts? I'm a relative newbie to the Registry forums, and would be appreciative of any advice.

I've attached a few photos, but have many more (and video) that can be made available upon request, as can a more detailed account of the car's history, as I know it.

Car is numbers matching and sale includes CoA and mint condition owner's manual. Haven't settled on a BAT reserve, but would ask $85k if I sell directly.

    Thanks,
    John

    S front bumper.
Are wheels correct or date coded?

    repaint? original color?
    owner histroy?

to get over 65k you will need to have alot of things documented.

I think BAT is a great venue to sell your 911. At $85 they will likely try to talk you down on your reserve. You will absolutely need to have many photos of the floor of your car taken on a lift -- not sitting in the driveway. A couple good quality driving videos without music and without talking are also a must. Looks like a great car. MFI cars are exceptional!

Thanks for the input! I've got pretty comprehensive photos, including under car and several videos. I figure I would have to negotiate a reserve with BAT, and the asking price isn't a must-have figure.

    Thanks for the response!

The splitter is after-market, but the car was delivered with S Koni suspension, front sway bar and aluminum front calipers, all of which have been retained.
Wheels are correct, matching set of five. I have photographs of the date stamps (among many others), but didn't want to overload this semi-exploratory listing.

Current owner is the third. The previous owner purchased the car in 1984 kept it in and around Seattle until four years ago. It had a glass-out repaint in the original color sometime in the mid-90s. Not much in the way of documentation until the current refresh, but the coverage of that process is extensive.

Not a concours car, but an exceptionally well-sorted driver with fairly unique equipment and no immediate needs.

At least from what has bee presented, I don't think the reserve of $85K is unreasonable,

From the first post, I consider it to be for sale here at $85,000.

You might want to also explain:
    - the 912 speedometer
    - numbers matching? VIN, engine, trans numbers
    - body repair history with the alignment issue of passenger side front fender.

In all, it appears to be a decent numbers matching 1972T that you can get in and drive.

I would assume that the paint and body along with wheels were done to a driver standard in the 1990s.

I would get leak down numbers and compression for the motor if going on bring a trailer.
