    Yes; definitely a subtle detail to a novice. Much like LWB vs. SWB rear fender flares.

    Once you see a tall grill on a car it’s obvious and wonderful.

    Congrats. What a great find. The value of the 65 is such that anything less than a concours level restoration is going to be a bad investment. With that said, it looks like a terrific starting point since it is so complete.
    Euro Classics did paint/body on my 70S and I am very pleased with the results. Which shop are you?

    Good point, but my humble opinion is that as long as the car is matching numbers and early enough to be eligible for the FIA appendix K period F (manufactured by 31 Dec 1965), it's a worthwhile car.

    Worthwhile... of course! I don't believe anyone said any '65 is crap.
    But there is absolutely a pecking order with '64's and '65's beginning with 901 cars. (Easily $1M+.) FIA eligibility has little to do with the value of most of the cars because they won't be raced.
