FS: Porsche 2.8 Engine 46IDA, 92mm RSR Pistons, Twin Plug

This engine has sold. Thank you 911s registry.

I am selling a Porsche 2.8 Engine. I was never given any of the build receipts, records or any other documents with the engine but here are the details that I do know.

    Here are some pictures

This engine is still installed in a 914 and it starts right up and is a very smooth engine. It makes great power, does not have any leaks, and appears that it has very little use on it. Here are the specifics.

    Built on a 1974 7R 911 Case
Weber 46IDA3C Carbs Made in Italy. Matching L9 and K9
Twin Plug with Bosch Distributor and MSD goodies
    92mm MAHLE RSR Pistons/Cylinders
    S Cams
    1969S Aluminum Pressure Plate
    916-6 Oil Cooler
    Updated Pressure Fed 930 Tensioners.
    Race Headers/Exhaust.

This is a complete drop down engine assembly.

Asking 12,500 for the engine or 15,000 for the complete engine/914 transmission with LSD, 914-6 oil tank etc.

    Located in Concord California.

I'm interested, but any idea who built it and how many hours are on it? Was this a track toy or vintage racer?

    cool engine!
do you have details about the cylinder heads parameters? (probably 46/40 mm valves) but what is the porting? and any info about the carbs setting: venturi size, jetting?

Humpty Dumpty on Viagra; sooner or later a catastrophic event will occur in the middle of having fun.

A fantastic deal for just the hardware (even has a real 914-6 oil cooler) but would recommend harvesting the organs and transplanting them into an alu case.

92mm cylinders and mag don’t mix.

I am trying to get back to all of the interested parties. I do not know the exact details about the heads, carb jetting, or the builder of this engine. There are quite a bit of expensive hard to come by parts that are on this engine (as Frank noted). Please let me know if there any other photos or videos perspective buyers would like to see.

    Very tempting.

Can't believe this is still available.

Would the 'internals' from this engine bolt straight into & on to standard 1965 model year aluminium cases?
    Looking for 1967 911 trans 130830/902-1
