    Engine/Trans reinstall.

What is the typical method to reinstall the engine and transaxle unit into the car, I have never done this on a 911 before, I have a 4 Ton Weaver long frame floor jack, but balancing it on a even a large frame floor jack seems a precarious proposition, the manuals show a large floor jack with a attachment cradle of some sort, what is generally used to accomplish this task?. Do I lower the car onto the raised engine unit, rather than offer it up to the car?

We did it for years on just the jack cradle of a 2 ton Walker jack. Now we use a 911 engine cradle that fits in place of the jack pad that was sourced from Pelican I think.

The first time you balance engine and trans on the jack you'll set that 17 mm hex bolt for the right angle to get the trans nose angled into the tunnel hole,,,,then it will be perfect.
