    Charcoal Canister Question

Hi I'm redoing my emission system. Blowing into the two larger tubes of the charcoal fillter I get free flow. When I blow into the smaller 5mm line I seem to get resistance. Not sure if this is correct. If this is not correct is there away to get free flow out of the 5mm tube. You can't seem to get replacement
canisters so I wanted to fix the one I have.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks John

There was never a published test for these that I ever heard of. What problem are you seeing with yours?

I am not trying to hijack this thread but it would interest me if these Charcoal Canisters wear out & how can they be replaced or repaired?

I don't think there was ever any thought for testing and replacement 50 years down the road! I don't know what result you would see if they weren't working properly. It just ultimately captures fuel vapor from the fender tank, the charcoal scrubs the vapors and circulates those vapors to the air cleaner where they are drawn into the engine. Doesn't affect running in any way.
