    1/2 air-cooled, 1/2 water cooled

Was watching old Grand Tour videos last evening and saw the James May tribute to the 917. Could not find the full clip but did find this <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WRYtDSooPlU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>. Watching 78 year old Dick Atwood flog the 917 around the track was priceless. And the GT2RS did not get by (or at least the editing shows) until the end. Good stuff

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)
