    'Dad's car' and 'what's it worth' all aside . . .

. . . any ideas as to what it 'll take to get this car running, again? --- never mind repaired/reliable/roadworthy?

Really REALLY Short Version = $

Sweet 911. I'm going to start a 68 Sportomatic project soon. I have a bunch of projects to complete first.
My floors, suspension pan and rear seats are shot so that is where I'll begin. Worry about the engine later as I don't need an engine unless it is road worthy.
    Will be following. Congrats!

The most important thing you can do today is to get that car off the street. That is the most valuable Targa ever made. Fix the flat tires and tow it to storage ASAP. Congrats!

So, given that it's a narrow car and you've probably got 7s, a 195/65R15 or 185/70R15 is probably your best bet. 165R15 is gonna be too narrow on a 7-inch wheel, I think?

I'd just go over to TireRack and buy a cheap set of 185/70R15 tires that will hold air—or just one tire to replace the one that doesn't hold air?—and spend the difference on indoor storage. Unless it's super rusty in all the wrong places, this is so a car worth saving.

I'd also recommend anonymizing your city/state here on the forum, and maybe deleting the link to those photos until you've got the car stashed away.

Hope to see you smiling in this car on Bay Area roads soon!

I like that he has put his city on his post. I'm willing to bet a large amount of money that the car is not in Alameda. That neighborhood, although very nice, is not in Alameda

Yep, was looking closer at the photos and came to the same conclusion. That's a good thing...but I hope that car gets stashed sooner than later!

Lunch soon? We have some catching up to do, now that you are retired!

Nice legs and the buttons of her skirt are similar to the buttons of the softwindow!
Difficult to concentrate on the car.
