Thanks so much all for the very thoughtful replies. I am now more confused than ever but inclined to go for the CN36. Had my heart set on the XWX but now shifting. Will post some pics with the final outcome...

FWIW, I have the P6000 and I'm a bit disappointed with the looks: too modern. The CN36 looks way nicer. Lots of grip though.

The modern P6 is an all season touring tire, the P6000 is high performance summer tire.

I feel AVon CR6ZZ should be in the conversation.

Dunlop Sport Classic is now available out of the UK and is an excellent candidate.

    Not very period-looking, though.

+1 for the Pirelli CN36. And for us lucky 911E owners still running 14” Fuchs they are only $159 each . I have literally had people stop me to say ‘nice tires’ and not even mention the 911 sitting on top of them.

What 14" size are you running? I didn't think the original 185HR14 was available in the CN36 today, just 185/70 or 195/70.

I am running the 185/70VR14. Is there a discernible difference between the 185/70VR14 and the 185HR14 ?
