They are the current tires and aren’t marked “for vintage car use only”.

The tires on that particular car are P6s, not P6000s. Compare this car on P6000s: https://www.europeancollectibles.com...911-carrera-rs

Good to know, Alan. I haven't seen any in person yet, and some of the pictures I've seen seem to show the Pirelli logo as straight, not curved like it was back in the day. Yours look pretty good.

Seems to me that both the XWX and CN36 look the part, and depending on how you drive your car either will do pretty well for street.

    Interesting note --- TireRack IDs the P6 as an 'all-season' tire . . .

I don't know about the newer versions of either tire, but back in the day the XWX was among the worst tires to drive in the rain.
The CN36 was much, much better.
If you actually want to drive your car, tire technology has advanced quite a bit in 4 decades.

    Cn36 or Avon
I’ve cn36 n4 on mine and very happy with the look and performance
I have driven cars with avon xyx and cn36
Generally like the pirelli best but the Avon May have a bit more grip and give in the sidewall
That said while i drive the car hard and very much enjoy the way it drives and feels, if i want modern performance I’ll drive another one of my cars.

Yeah, the P6000 provides a slightly better looking profile than the P6 but still has the "rills" you refer to. Still a good option for the RS or RS tribute owner.
