'. . . 1973 Porsche 911S Coupe and true California Survivor. Still in its mostly all original Ivory color with its original tan leather interior. It's been a California car all its life and it was under the same ownership since 1980. An excellent car for preservation class or easy restoration. This is an incredibly honest and original car with 71k original miles. The original floors and overall metal have no rust, all panel fitment and gaps are perfect as it came from the factory, accompanied by tools, books, and manual. Our award-winning team has now properly recommissioned this vehicle to a proper driving survivor vehicle. All major components have been properly serviced, all new fluids, window rubber, rebuild calipers, new carpet, new headliner, all new seat internals while preserving the original seat leather skins, keeping the unique patina on the original leather . . .'

Listed as SOLD already. Missing trim under the front hood as well in addition to the dash pad but really quite a lovely looking car.

This 1973 Porsche 911S coupe was built in September 1972, and was sold new by Martin-Johnson Porsche+Audi of Oakland, California to a Napa clothing boutique. The car was acquired in 1980 by another Napa-area owner, who kept it until 2018, including in storage for the final few years. A recommissioning was carried out starting in 2018 by marque specialist Naples Classic Car in Florida, before the car was acquired by the selling dealer and brought to Texas. The numbers-matching 2.4L injected flat-six remains fitted, as does the original Type 915 transaxle. The car is finished in its factory color combination of special order Ivory over brown leather, and work carried out since 2018 has included overhauling the brake and fuel systems, installing new door and window seals, replacing the carpeting and headliner, mounting new tires, and more as outlined below. This 911S is part of DriverSource’s lineup of three early-1970s sports cars currently being auctioned on BaT. It is now offered with its original service booklet, factory owner’s manual, a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, invoices from recent work, and a clean Texas title. Ivory (132) was a special-order color for the 1973 model year, and this car received an exterior detailing with paint correction following its removal from storage in 2018. Closeups of the finish and trim are presented in the gallery below, along with photos of imperfections and 32 paint meter readings ranging from 2.5 to 8.5 mils. Areas of blending are noted on the driver’s door and passenger-side front fender, in addition to some color variation.

Looking through the receipts (combined sales and restoration operation) one “ticket” says “new dash” and later there’s an entry that says (paraphrased from memory) “new dash removed and replaced by original at request of sales department.”

This is a car that I would have loved to find in its original habitat. I would have touched it as little as possible and kept it forever!
