    Ah, that one! I randomly came across a Youtube video of this car being auctioned. Perhaps it was the location of the camera and mic, but it was a very casual atmosphere; it seemed like a party going on with the bidding as an afterthought. There certainly wasn't any "buzz of excitement" that a 911S was selling for a record.

    This one proved the adage that all it takes is two interested parties. The bidding plodded along, slowed to a crawl at 160, then kept bumping along until one bidder wore the other down and it hammered for $195. So yes, with 10% BP that's $214.5K.

    Yes (however it's always a little more mystical then a straight 10%) ........ I believe the hammer fell at $196K
