    Faulty ignition switch? Maybe

Friends, I have run into a problem with my ignition witch. It cranks occasionally, but will turn the car off at the slightest shake of the switch. Below are two pictures of my switch.

If it is a bad switch what would be the correct replacement as all I can find are bullet connection switches. This is for a 1968 911

You can replace it with a generic Bosch Ign Switch. Haven't checked lately but youy should be able to buy one for around $60.00 or $70.00. You can use the same bezel. I make up a harness to go from the switch (which has screw on terminals) to your spade terminal wires,. Very easy and nothing need to be altered or any wires cut. There are people that rebuild these switches but it usually takes a bit of time, thus the need for an interim replacement.

    Regards

    Jim
PS: Whats up with all the chopped off wires?
