Very entertaining and moving-never thought Damon could do Shel, but he was good and Bale was sensational! I'm very familiar with the story and have spoken with many of the principals over the years-movie took some liberties but still an instant classic for car folks.
    67 911 , 69 911S, Ford V Ferrari 906LH, 85 Carrera...and-gasp! a bunch of Corvettes, Musclecars and Italian crap(330GTC,GTA/M,308GTB)

There was one thing that they did that wasn't accurate. From my reading the word was that Enzo never went to the track but listened by radio from the Factory in Modena. It made for better movie magic to have him watching at Le Mans but I don't think it happened that way.

That is true, he stayed in Modena.

Also, Miles has raced Le Mans, in 1952 (MG Ex 182), and also 1965 and, of course, 1966. In 1965, he was paired with Bruce Mc Laren.

Something certainly noticed only by the people who live in Le Mans, is that there are 4 miles (straight) between the Cathedral and the pits, so this is not a short walk like it is supposed to be into the movie.
And I don't think that it was easy to find a free taxi in the middle of the night, in 1966.
