Re-solder pin back on Hood badge

I have nice original Orange bar hood badge and when installing the pin came off. Is there a trick/tip to re soldering it or is it straight forward? Just re solder?

As an alternative to trying to weld one of these, I have used the tiniest smidge of JB Weld in the past, a small enough amount to hold and not enough to seep out from around the pin head.
No one was the wiser and it has held firm for years.

I think you'd need to be careful, maybe use a low-temp solder, to avoid getting too hot and possibly damaging the enamel on the front.

My local jewelry repair guy does these for me all the time. Charges me $15. Can't remember the process he uses but any competent jeweler should be able to help you.

That sounds good I'll try a local jeweler. Thanks

Much more difficult than wire soldering. For an attempt.. a clamp stand as below will steady the pin to give some chance of success :

Scott...I did the same as LiveFromNY....had a local jeweler do it.
It has never failed on me, so he must have done a decent job.
