I received this NOS fog lamp today. It's a K8442.

Now, I need to find a correct bracket. On PET you see an angle bracket but when I googled that part number, this old thread came up:

    Link:

In post # 26, late Roger Grago (God bless him) said the angle bracket was for G-model and that the earlier version was a round disc bent a little past 90 degrees.

Does anyone here have a photo of it?

    Source to buy one?

No, it's not a flush mount lens. It looks the same as the K8415 (I don't know what is the difference though).

Thanks for the referral to Jimmy. I'll send him a message.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between the K8403, the K8415 and the K8442 ? Any reference to what year these are period-correct? What is correct for a 1973 ?

yes, thanks. Have seen that one. In fact, all of them. But none gives an explanation what the differences are. Yes, larger lens, or smooth lens/housing edge, code on lens, etc. But no (model)year relation, i.e.

Does anyone here have an old Hella catalogue for references?

    Thanks.
Just seen this. Extract from my Hella 72/3 catalogue

I have a couple of these both new old stock still in original boxes with papers. The date stamp on the factory fitting bracket paper is April 1971
    .

Was going to put them on eBay as they apply to various marques/ models but maybe I'll list FS here as nice addition to early 911. Think it was factory option M571?

Usually a single (not pair) fitted to provide extra illumination in fog or rain road spray.

Thanks for posting an Hella '72/73 catalogue. Interesting. Do you have any earlier catalogues? '69 - 71?

Your NOS lamps look nice but as you can see above I already purchased one a few weeks ago.

No I have a 73 911 so typically have OEM reference materials for that year.

What I have posted does point to what was on market and Porsche likley would've used the OEM suppliers product for an accessory like this.

The fact that there are various dates on the papers the latest being April of 1971 suggests the ones I have were produced by Hella after that but are clearly the version for 72/3 per their catalogue.

Got various Hella bits and bobs including some natty shop lamp display stands for front lamps with Hella branding but my car didn't have front or rear Hellas on COA so probably all surplus to my car's needs, for example:

Some nos on boxes are more appropriate for other marques

The Porsche nos cable is an extension for aux front lamps. The earliest RS that were weighed for homologation didn't have that to save weight unless lamps fitted iirc so I should hang on to that.

Might get around to listing old stuff day.

Gloria extinguishers were distributed by Hella like this nos Avus from around 73

...came across this nos rear fog cable in sealed packet with Porsche part label and yellow sticker so posting it here in this thread about fog lamp for completeness of reference. It is an AG part so maybe for 74 on but pretty old.

My car didn't have rear or front fogs according to build sheet so among bits gathering dust.
