MFI Air Regulator - is yours installed?

I see a lot of cars that do not have an air regulator in place. If you are not using one, why. and what do you do with the hole in the engine sheet metal and the opening in the heat exchanger?

    thanks for any input

If you mean the flapper valve, if I lived in Colorado I would leave it in place.
In hotter climes one plugs the hole in the tin.

Mine is not currently installed, but that's only because I don't have the correct left side heat exchanger to connect it to. I will install it at some point in the project.

Mine is connected and functional, has always been. Folks that have lost the flapper box, or have chosen not to install it favoring a modified air cleaner housing, block of the engine tinware hole and plug the outlet on the left heat exchanger. Pretty simple exercise.
