    Wiring Harness

I have managed to clean and sort and label all of the harnesses from my 71S, with one exception. In the picture below is a harness from inside the front trunk up near the gauges. It has 4 ends to it:

1: Brown/Wht wire that connected to Oil Temp Gauge - with a supplemental connection

2 : Male ends - 1 Brown wire and another with 2 Brown/Wht wires - Neither connected when I purchased the car

    3 : Male ends with covers - 1 x Brown and 1 x Brown/wht - unsure what these were connected to

4 : Grounding ring for Brown wires

Any help understanding function of 2 and 3 would be appreciated. Thanks. Simon

Looks to me like those female spade in last picture have shrink tube covering the ends, that would mean they were never used.

I should have mentioned that I covered them when I purchased the car.

There are three connections on the back of the temp ga. + is power red or blu/ yel, GA to sender, would have been green /blk, and - for ground, a brown wire. So did this harness connect to the - terminal? Any options on the car? Not recognizing the harness.

Yes, I believe it connected to the negative. No special options. No AC.

Yes ! I looked at my pictures and its clear that #3 (Two covered females) connect to the Master Cylinder. Thanks. So that just leaves the two other female ends that were not connected when I purchased the car
