    Dansk Fuel Tank or Porsche

    Hep required please...

The time has come to replace the fuel tank on my 1967 911
I have a choice between a Dansk and Porsche (about a $1000 difference)

Can anyone tell me the difference is in terms of quality and authenticity?

    Thanks

    Hi,
For my '73 I went with Dansk. The quality is fine but the unions at the back are at the wrong angle so require adjusting. Not sure if the same would apply for '67 but I would expect so.
    Kind regards

dansk tank has the slanted flat surface on the "spare wheel bubble"..not correct for 67 also the diameter of the breather tube is not 67ish
dont`t know how correct the porsche part is ---did`nt even know that they are available

I am pretty confident that PORSCHE likely does not continue to offer a fuel tank specific to 66/67, but rather one that will fit - with some modifications - a wider range of years. If PORSCHE tells you that the PN they offer for a 66/67 is the same PN for a 69-73 tank, then my guess is correct. If you don't have a good, reliable PORSCHE parts guy, let me know...I do, and what his answer is will be correct.
