    Breather hose exit

    Hi all,

Where should this clear tube breather hose which hangs from a clip on the fuse panel cover go to? It looks like it should exit one of the holes in the front latch panel through a grommet or something if it was long enough.

If that is the brake reservoir overflow hose, it exits through a grommet in the bottom of the two holes on the front right of your picture.

The brake fluid breather hose should be running along the fender mounting flange, be white ty-wrapped to the hood cable tube right above the fuse box. The tube running along the wire harness is supposed to be the hose for your missing washer fluid reservoir. FOLLOW the hose, you have no idea what a previous person has done !!

I just saw your car, if it is a 69 then the brake breather hose vents into a 'Y' fitting along with the fuel vapors in an area below the filler neck.

OK, I see what's going on here the tube is too short to exit the hole in the front so it must have been cut at some point. I can confirm I do have the Y fitting combining the brake breather hose and the fuel vapor hose.

Do you see the carrier bracket for the fluid reservoir in my picture with rivets. Is that the legit way to secure it?

Not at all, it would be spot welded.
