The current state of the dual battery market

My Odyssey PC925s have bitten the dust. RIP, little jet ski batteries. I've read through the old threads and I'm liking the idea of using sealed batteries that fit the compartments better. With the Odysseys, I had to place wood blocks above to fill the void. It works, but feels a little ghetto. Sonnenschein A512/40A seem to be the winner for fit and performance (though expensive). And as of 7/2019, I can't find them anywhere online. At least not the kind with round automotive posts. Does anyone have a source for these? Or another well-fitting dry, sealed dual battery setup?

    Thanks as always.
    Brad

    +1 for Lauderdale Marine
Shipping is $$$ but worth it IMO. Plus they are gel cell batteries (leak free). Perfect fit etc. You will need to make sure you have the porsche rubber terminal insulators to keep them from shorting out in your battery boxes since these done have any kind of covers.

What battery part number is the correct one for a 69E from Sonnenschein.

    Is this one worth using?

I had purchased a pair of Miata AGM (sealed glass mat) batteries for mine but didn't like the fit, the terminals were just too close to the body for my liking. I sold them.

My shop sourced a new with current date codes Interstate 911/wet batteries. Not my first choice, is what it is. Rig up a vent to the bottom chassis pan for the gasses...

Looks like this is the one referred to above:

I bought the Porsche Moll 999-611-014-91 batteries and have had no problems. Those are the ones that Stoddard carries, but I bought them elsewhere for much less than Stoddard's price.
