    Great car and great owner. But signal yellow isn't PTS and there's at least one more out there that I know of (although not nearly as nice as this one).

    Your purple car and the story behind it was great.

    The "signal" colors weren't all that uncommon, then. But, as the interest in oranges and yellows faded in the 80s and "red" was all the rage so many were repainted. IIRC, Tangerine and Signal orange (the oranges) were about 30% of orders in 70 or 71... That's quite a few cars. But, you don't see them too often these days, even living in porsche central here in Socal.
