    1971 911S ? Help number matching confused!

Could this be a matching number car? Car vin: 9111300438, engine serial number: 6300430. I am told this is a 911S and I am ready to purchase.

And a close up of the VIN tag to tell you if the chassis is really what you think it is. Some of those numbers look suspicious in the currently supplied photo

I agree. The “8” seems way off. Be careful, regardless of the price.

The engine would be a 1970 S if the engine type is 911/02
The engine would be a 1980SC if the engine type is 930/09
