Is it possible to get a free Bump on your Ad?

Nothing really important here but was wondering can you go into your "For Sale" post and perform a small edit and get a free bump to the first page again. Reason I ask is I know I have read some FS posts recently and the next day they appear on the first page again without any replies. Obviously if possible this would allow you to avoid the 5 bump rule.

as a frequent bumper my observation is that there is ways to avoid the 5 bump rule.

the do a small edit and get a free bump is not amongst those ways...at least not with my profile.

and there must be also other ways or scenarios that i don`t know so far since sometimes ads( even my ads ) pass the 5 bump limit and i don`t know why.

Ok, maybe someone has posted a reply then goes back and deletes it leaving it bumped to the first page.

I am amazed at the laziness and lack of creativity when it comes to “bumping”.

How about spending 2 minutes and make a controversial statement or simply add color commentary about your thing for sale?

Good for a bump or a trip to the principal’s office.

Whenever a seller adds more detail about the item for sale (text and/or photos), I generally don't consider that a bump. I've noted the best way to sell an item is when it is appropriately priced.

+1 on the pricing. I am surprised that the moderators are so lenient with some advertisers. The daily-bump, reverse-auction ads are bad enough, but it's genuinely insulting when the OP runs a new ad for the same crap while the original ad is still active.

The best bump of all is when you reply to your own thread with.....

    ...SOLD...

and the most annoying bump is ,

...SOLD.. and the ""mandatory"' 'asking price' and the price reduction edits is REMOVED !!!
