    Dark Metallic Green

My car was originally painted Dark Metallic Green, code 62109. It became dark grey in the 1970s, then Gold Metallic more recently. The time is approaching to bring her back to original, in that light, could someone post the formula for 62109 so that I can have some made and a sample panel painted?

Thank you in advance for your replies,

    Pascal

    Is this your car?

The best sample of that extremely rare color is probably under the paint badge in your photo.

I would be surprised if someone has that formula handy but I do wish you luck in putting that car right with the proper color.

These are some cars I know were 62109. Perhaps one has needed a repaint.

Please reach out to AkzoNobel (who looks to own Lesonel now - the "L" on your paint plate). I got this far on their web site...

Thank you for all the answers so far!

Petrolicious Article - yes, that’s the one

Peter, I would not have guessed that the Akzo-Nobel website would have a history of automotive paint colour, will definitely reach out to them as the worst thing that could happen is no reply.

Yes, I did see the colour number change but are we sure it is 100% the same?

We did remove the badge, but so did the person who made it Gold! Some green is showing under the roof lip, at the top of the side windows, and, not sure if it is meant to be there, in the engine compartment...

I found a 2004 post by Jens outlining his search for the same color, and finding it, of all places, in New Hampshire. The store, which had an extensive library of Porsche colours and formulae, has become an O’Reilly Auto Parts, but the paint department manager still works there. I will reach out to him next week, as the former owner of the business has given me his phone number. I will update all of you after I speak to Frank Spinella.
