    got the paint number?
    6852 is Dark Green Metallic
    62019 is Dark Green Metallic
As there are so few cars with these colors, its difficult to tell if these colors are identical.

I think the shade changed and therefore the codes changed down through the years.

I have attached a picture of my old 68 911L which is Dark Metallic Green .... a stunning colour:

Not relevant to the technical side of this thread but I vividly recall the only time I saw this color, 1972 on Hillcrest Ave near Mockingbird Lane in North Dallas. It was at night but the car was parked beneath a lamp and I stopped to look at a 71 911S. I was a senior in high school and had some Porsche experience from my father and brother but I drove a Beetle at the time.

What caught my attention, besides the color was the black racing stripe that was about 18" wide and ran the entire length of the car. Where the stripe covered the engine lid it had horizontal breaks, getting ever narrower, kinda like bar code; very subtle against the dark green body color.

I never forgot the color and when I repainted my 67S I sought that color but finally quit and went another direction: Arrest Me Yellow. I do like that color now but seeing this thread has me thinking...

My COA, back when they were available, under options reads, "Special paint according to special color book" So, I would say this is rare. Any idea how many cars in total were sprayed in this color?
