    Under-bumper fog light brackets

Trying to find the mounting brackets shown here, new or used. Not surprisingly, the lights were long gone when I bought the car. I'm not sure I'm going to mount them as long as I'm driving the car- can't imagine they'd last too long- but I would like to have the setup for completeness. I can't find a listing in the parts catalog. Any leads appreciated!

By the way, these photos are from a beautiful Viper Green RS that I saw at the Concours on the Avenue last week.

    Jeff,
I think you're not finding that bracket in the parts catalog because that's not a factory part. I could be wrong, but Porsche didn't mount fog lights below the bumper with the 72-73 S spoiler. That bracket is after-market.
That is a really good looking RS and those lights sure look cool.
    Good Luck.

861 use to be my car, round iodine fog lights, yellow, below bumper, option code 459, right from the RS book. Those are factory pieces. Quite a while back we found one bracket at Emory’s, sat on a long time, then had a customer want the below bumper lights and had Eric copy the one, same for both sides, that was the end of them. Very complicated small part. Gordon

And just to close the loop on this, the brackets are listed in the parts catalog, part number 911.631.124.00. From a post in another thread on the same topic by Soterik:

Yes, you are correct, that's the part number. I have it referenced in my 1973 parts book, the page is an updated one with a date stamp of 2/74 on that page. No line image is there to post. Note that it's under the column headed: "Fastening parts for fog lamps below spoiler-bumper".

At this point I'm still searching, but will probably attempt to get a pair fabricated.

if you go down the fabrication route it may be worth seeing who else may want a set to defray set up costs (assuming that the set up costs will outweigh the production of something like that)
I would probably be in for a set to put away in case I want to shift my TTG fogs to under the bumper

So, that’s what the two holes (each side) on the 72/3 S’ bumper is used for. All I see here is the rs example; are they the same? Perhaps jimmy T may be able to help out with fabrication! I would buy a set. .....cliff

Yes on the 72-73 bumper. Factory RS glass bumpers bond in a steel support in the same location for the lights.
