Jorge Perez is the CEO of the Early 911S Registry?

So, according to our latest state filings, as of February 20th, 2019, Jorge Perez is now the CEO of the Early 911S Registry? Anyone know if this is the same Jorge Perez who owns Sierra Madre? Am I the only one who hadn't heard the news?

If so, it doesn't make me feel comfortable. Was there a vote?

    Lightbulb

    Oh My... Now What !!!!

Those who really read this site and those who are paid Registry members have known Jorge Perez's involvement with the club since the end of last year....

First I wrote this last Dec.:
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...rship-and-all…

To our paid membership, and all….

After fielding some of your inquires… You deserve an explanation and apology

Firstly our 2019 ESR calendars will be ready for sale by the end of this week…Watch for the sale link on the board…

Next, our Fall and Winter ESSES issues 28/3 and 28/4 will be combined into one bigger issue, including Rennsport… This combined issue should be out by the end of Jan.
To be fair, our ESSES advertisers will be extended another quarter.

To be sure, our quarterly ESSES will soon be back on schedule and issued 4 times in the coming year as always.

And this message board will be unaffected and function as always…

    To explain:

After our data base advisor Fred Trueman fell ill, and then of all things, gets into a head-on with his wife in the car, (they’re doing OK now) he could no longer manage and update the data base. It took a while for all of us, with big help from Ashton our tech support, to figure it all out…
It was finally resolved not long ago, but it took time from all of us…

While that was happening John Dilger, our ESSES editor, was getting behind with the ESSES….

Meanwhile John and the rest of us were setting up and organizing the Rennsport VI hotel, merchandise, and banquet… which all came out great, but the ESSES printing schedule suffered again.

John was also responsible for taking in the photos and information for the club’s calendar… which compromised his time for both the ESSES and the calendar.

Regretfully John has stepped down from his position in the club and will hopefully enjoy some well-deserved R&R and other pursuits.
We wish him well and thank him for all the years of work…

    So here we are…

The club now has the guidance of a professional in our community to help us reorganize, get back on track, and hopefully soon be back on schedule…

The club has been around for about 30 years, and with us for about the last 25…
And as always, we will fulfill our commitments to our membership… it just might take a little more time for us… and require a little more patience from you…

    With our sincere apologies,

    The ESR
Then Jorge introduced himself in ESSES 29/3&4 as 'New Board Member':

    NEW BOARD MEMBER
My name is Jorge Perez (member #769). I’m a new board member of the Early 911S Registry. I’m honored to have been asked by the board of directors to be part of this amazing community. I have great respect for the club, its rich history, and for the club
members and officers that have worked so hard over the past 30 years to make the club what it is today.
My role with the club will be to get the back-office back on track, organized and running smoothly. Among some of the ideas the board members and I have discussed is to grow the membership by including more air-cooled Porsche owners so the club can afford a higher-quality quarterly magazine, increase international membership and involvement, keep the club affordable, provide more benefits to members and organize more events throughout the year, but also maintain the club’s integrity.
Any changes that are made would have to be harmonious with the current “feel” of the community and enhance the benefits of the membership. Member involvement and support will be greatly appreciated in 2019. With some hard work we can accomplish great things together. I strongly feel there hasn’t been a better time than now to own and (more importantly) to drive an air-cooled Porsche. I would like to hear from you in the future, your ideas and suggestions, and I ask that you contact me directly at smcporsche@gmail.com or cell phone at 1-626-627-6950.
See you at the shows in 2019!
Jorge had been writing and signing the 'Registry Review' (with the absence of John Dilger writing his editorial page 'Due Dilergence') for the last 3 quarterly ESSES issues.

Jorge has kept SMC discreet from the message board and pays full to the club for SMC's advertising in the ESSES as well any SMC forum sponsor patches... Jorge does not post on the board

Jorge Perez is one of the three of us (remaining) that help run the club... He is not defined as our CEO...

The proof of the club running smoother is that the paid membership should be reading their new ESSES today or tomorrow... about 2 weeks early... a first for this club !!!

Hope this eases so minds and makes things a bit clearer...

    Thanks,
    Chuck
