    Portland to Las Vegas Recommendations

Any must drive roads and road side attractions between Portland and Las Vegas. Actually starting in Seattle
    Thanks!

I’d say stop in Portland for lunch - lots of interesting spots. Head east on highway 84 and take the “Historic Columbia River Highway”. It’s basically the old road before the freeway was built and parallels highway 84. Stop at Multnomah Falls - also could have lunch there.
The Columbia River Gorge is beautiful.
I’m not sure if that’s the best route to LAS. Bend is a great place to spend the night.
    Have a nice trip.

The 34 from Philomath to Waldport is about the best road I've ever been on. Go through Corvallis and come by my shop then hit the 34 to the coast. It's fantastic. -Scott

The route I like, avoiding freeways is: Portland to Bend via Mt Hood, Bend to Klamath Falls, K-Falls to Reno, Reno to Yosemite, Yosemite to Death Valley and Death Valley to Las Vegas. You will pass through incredibly diverse types of scenery on some good Porsche roads. Or you can also head for the Oregon coast from Portland and cross over to Bend at Waldport if you need some amazing ocean scenery too.
