you need a the grille ?.
    if you find time.
pics of the headlight lenses would be very helpful.

    merci
    Moito,

Neither the exhaust nor the engine is original.
You are right about the vent window.
I will post photos of the window frames (brass) to check if they are correct.
I haven't any detailed photos of the headlight lenses.
    But the reference that appears is "Bosch E1 4487" / "1 305 614 027"
And yes: I need the grille.

    . . . and welcome

My favorite threads are the ones where people share about their projects --- and their cars. Your story will get lots of attention, and I wouldn't worry about the language, if I were you

Heck --- you can post in French, if that's easier . . .

. . . there are lots of ways to translate if it comes to that

Anyway, you'e started your account with the restoration of the car . . .

. . . but what about the beginning?

Where did you find the car? And why did you buy it? What can you tell us about it? --- who owned it and where it came from, etc . . .

. . . if you feel comfortable sharing that part of the story

25 years is a long time ago . . . lots of choices, back then

    ..

    LongRanger,

    The story is simple.
In the early 90's I absolutely wanted a Porsche 911 (you know what it is)
It does not matter the model or the year.
I did not have enough money to buy a Porsche that was less than twenty or thirty years old.
One day, in 1994, I saw an advertisement in a local newspaper for a 911 that fit my budget.

That's how I bought the 300090 which was the cheapest Porsche to sell.

I do not know his history. Only the previous owner.
I used it every day to go to the office.
I did some repairs myself as changed the front bumper and also installed another engine because the one who was in the car was already not the original one.
Ten years later I had no time to take care of it and I put it aside in my garage.

2 years ago I hesitated between selling it or restoring it.
    Now you know my choice.

    Philippe

Have you tried to trace all of the car's previous owners? Maybe one of them might know what happened to the original engine.

Interesting story. Sounds familiar! Thank you.

Note, my research has the antenna on the drivers (left) side. You may want to look into, or maybe someone can confirm.
