That's how I bought the 300090 which was the cheapest Porsche to sell.
What a great way to end up with one of the most desirable 911s. What are your plans for the engine?

Have you tried to trace all of the car's previous owners? Maybe one of them might know what happened to the original engine.

How to find the original engine?
At first I will try to contact the previous owner.
Thank you blue72s! I did not even think about that...
    I just retrieved his coordinates.
Hoping he knew where the engine was in 1994.

Contact me I may have some information that you could use about your car. I have something to do with the Early 911 Porsche 232 Registry.
A big thank to you Mister Bob Fleming!

Note, my research has the antenna on the drivers (left) side. You may want to look into, or maybe someone can confirm.

From the book by Brett Johnson at page #57.

I will check the brand of the antenna.

I have shared my perspective with Franz and some others. The Hirschmann Auta 4000 antenna mentioned in some recent other posts was a carry over from 356C production. C production was still ongoing when the first 9-series cars were build I believe. As such I would be surprised if the factory used a different antenna and then later started using the Auta 4000 again for the later SWB cars.

The general profile of the Auta 4000 is pretty easy to make out. As such, if anybody has period pictures of 901 cars we could probably tell.

    Thank you 718RSK and Franz.

I will go to the garage where is the car tomorrow to check some parts (dates and references) including antenna and take pictures.
To everyone: do not hesitate to tell me the interesting parts that I should take a picture.

    Hi Haul,
No card board in front of the gauges.
Do you have any photos of this?

    Disassembly

Here are some pictures of the car during its disassembly.

As you can see the doors come from a LWB

But the door-related items seem to be correct.
