`64 door frames are copletely different animals compared to the later wede ones ...smaller screws,less screws ,longer beams,horizontal bar under the vent window is crafted differently,sharper edges,even the wedge is different,less/different reinforcement brackets,different vent window pivots,different locking plate, etc..over all a very fragile thing

Could anybody tell if these frames are original/correct or not? (more pictures if needed)

















As pointed by moito: rain deflector on the passenger side.



Does anyone know if and where the reference (901.xxx...) should be stamped?

if both frames have the wedges and only 2 screws like in your picture#6 they are the real thing.
the vent window to the left (last pic),as mentioned earlier,should not have the rain deflector.

the frame i have probably is an even earlier version(very fragile) since it has a very different bar under the vent window.

any picture of the etching on the glass of the vent window with the deflector.just to determine if its the correct glass

there is no part numbers on the frame or related parts

Are you talking about chrome deflector located on small vent window? If so I have July 65, December 65 and April 66 build 911s all with that chrome deflector.

the triangular porsche "warenzeichen" was introduced somewhen during MY 68
