    New Service: 190mm Cibié Bi-Iodes

Cibié Bi-Iodes are arguably the most sought after headlamps for our longhoods. Used on the 911R, 911ST and great 911RSR (and the Ford Escort MK1 Rally) they perform great and they look great. Unfortunately they are rare and expensive.

Fortunately, as they were produced in France, there was a version used by Peugeot. These can often be easier to find and much less expensive. However, the Peugeot version was 190mm in diameter while the Porsche version was 170mm and they don’t fit in the Hella sealed beam headlight bucket that is used for the Porsche Cibiés .

A good customer, perhaps the World’s Most Patient Man (WMPM) sent me some 190’s about a year eand a half ago and asked me to install them in Hella buckets. I knew that Alex, a friend and a member of this forum, had accomplished that so I said sure, no problem. Well, did you notice that was a year and a half ago?

After perhaps 14-15 iterations I finally developed a build that I’m comfortable with. WMPM is delighted with them so I figured I can go ahead and offer this as a service. If you provide the Cibié Bi-Iode lamps I will mount for you in Hella housings with correct Hella lenses for $985.00 provided the Cibiés don’t need restoring. If they do the cost is $1,685.00.

    Happy hunting!

These are very solid and with more adjustment options than the two adjustment screw configuration which is important since there are two bulbs and two reflectors.
