Cardboard in front of heater mounting screws

Had there been a change from slotted M6 to Hexagon to mount the cardboard in front of the heater/blower unit for MY72?

Sure about that 71 had slotted M6.

The original PET shows a M6 cheese-head screw with the lock washer and regular washer. But I notice my car has zinc chromate M6 hex head bolts, lock washer and washer.

Speaking of the cardboard cover, is the original one black, and is dark grey a repro part?
