    Help identifying some parts

    Hi all,

Like to buy a set of parts being sold as 1973 RS parts.

Can you help to identify if this is the correct crankshaft, pistons and cyls and throttlebodies?

    Heads: 911.104.345.0R (date 9/73) seems to be from a 1974 911
    Cylinders: 90ZN2W7
    Pistons: 90P27 W2
    Crankshaft: 435 380

    TB’s: 02 73 142 (35 mm)
Stacks: 911.110.312.1R (Seems to be correct for 2.4 S and 2.7 RS)

    Thanks!

Haven't looked in detail he most immediate observation you make is 9 73 date on head is after 73 Carrera RS production ceased. There was of course 2.7 Carrera impact bumper. Maybe doesn't matter a jot but folks sometimes attribute to Carrera RS provenance to hike parts price. I've seen that done dubious spin on a whole engine sale.

I agree, the heads are not correct for a 2.7 ‘73 RS.
Casting number should be 911.104.307.1R according to my data.

Unless you are extremely knowledgeable and able to separate wheat from chaff, stuff like this is best priced by weight.

Do the throttles have restrictors in the vacuum ports? S’s and RS’s had numbers stamped on the front of the throttles like those, some times the same left and right, some times not. Never really figured out what the numbers were all about, looks like a date code here and on others, again on others, random numbers.

Do you have a picture of these restrictors?

Either the vacuum tube is 1/8” inside diameter or it has a pin size hole. Photo the end of the vacuum tube.
