    oil thermostat internals

    Hello!

Need help please! Would any of you know if it's possible to find spares for the intrenals of this oil thermosat?

It's composed of 1 spring, 1 piston with the thermal bit in it.

There are some parts listed for later cars like 930, but no idea if they can fit or have the same characteristics (travel, spring rate...)

If somebody knows another car/make ... please share.

    Thanks!

    Olivier.

    Hi Olivier,

Have you seen this bit of kit? It looks the part, but not sure if the dimensions are the same. Might be worth contacting one of the sellers and see if them will send you some details before buying. If the diameter is the same it may even be something you can machine to play.

I did a search on eBay for, "Behr thermostat Porsche 911"

    Best regards,

    Hi Brad!

At least, someone replied me =)

I've seen different "kits". I'll try to get in touch with some vendors, in the worst case, I'll buy one and see what I can do with it.

The issues are that temp aperture, travel and so on can be a problem, but, let's check if its possible to get some answers

    Thanks a lot!
