Orange leaflet starting hints (which years was it used)

I think I read somewhere on this forum that this small leaflet was a attached to the car key (for models with fuel injection)? And that the folder was later replaced with a cold start decal placed on the driver side sunvisor (see enclosed link). I have seen this type of leaflet laying in the vinyl pouch for 69/70, but wonder if anyone knows for sure and also which years and models it was used for?

That leaflet is for an MFI car, so 1969 would be the first year it was used in E and S models. I’m not sure when they went to the sunvisor decal.

    Alan,

You must be right. After further searching I found this thread about a one owner 911S from 1969 (see # 1 and # 24). http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...starting+hints That car was delivered with the leaflet attached to its key. I also found another thread about a very original 911S from 1969 who had the same leaflet (see # 1, 21, 22, 57) http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...hlight=storied
But I havent yet found a defintive answer to when they started to use the sunvisor decal.

All sources found so far (including Porsche) link the decal to model 74 and later.

Also the Porsche PET only lists it as from model 1974.

See last post for a survivor sticker circa 74. It has similar info plus more. It is positioned vertically inside windscreen on drivers side of a rhd car not on sun visor. I expect it should have been removed when first owner took over car and mastered these controls but somehow managed to survive decades despite being somewhat on line of vision

I think I got it a little wrong before regarding the placment of the 74- cold start decal. Sorry for that. Have seen in a picture that the cold start decal was placed on the inside of the windshield (above the rear view mirror) and not on the sun visor.

The photo I took in link was of car for sale at Silverstone Classic auction several year's ago. Think I've seen FS on www which might show more shots. Pale ice blue or green metallic 74)// ISH Carrera.

One in my USA 72T folder, I assume it is original but no way of confirming.
