Restoring Fuchs Wheels: my RSR finish

I wanted to share my process. I'm stripped the anodized finish of this set of 6&7J x 16s, reanodizing and painting in 2K satin Glasurit.

This set is fully stripped of all paint first, then dipped to remove the anodized finish and is now ready for my final surface prep in this case RSR finish with polished (not too polished) outer lip.

Then I'll re anodize the wheels the right way which is in multiple chemical bath steps (which is really the only way). Then 2K paint. I'll post some of the remaining process pictures.

    Thanks for looking,

    Matt Mariani

All four Carrera wheels are ready.

Interesting to note the 6J and 7J x16 weigh the same 13.5 pounds according to my scale. Nice looking and light wheel with more tire options.
