    WTB: Recaro Seat Slider Pin

I have a seat base that uses special "trick" pins to hold the Recaro sliders in place. The pins go through the one of the 3-4 holes that are in the typical Recaro slider leg. I only have 3 pins like this and would like to get a fourth. (There is NO threading where the pin enters the base.)

    Photo #1:
Pin separated from frame - note the small ball bearing at the end: this is on a spring so it can compress inside the frame and then pop out and sit in a hole a couple of inches in

Pin "partially" installed through slider into the base (frame). It needs to be pushed in about a half-inch and lined up to be seated properly.

My finger points to the ‘hole’ in frame where the end of the pin seats

Has anybody seen something like this and, better yet, does anybody have one I can get?
    Thanks,
    Jim

We use these to hold the body in place on a vintage sports racer that I work on. I believe that Pegasus racing parts sell them in assorted sizes

    Thanks, Rick

in german these are called Kugelsperrbolzen.

I believe that these pins are a variation of MS17990E, Pin, Quick Release, Positive Locking, Double Acting, Ring Handle.
The attaching ring is just a stamped steel ring squeezed into a groove on the head. It can be easily removed.
If you are bothered by the wire ring handle not matching, you could buy 4 instead of 1.

After you measure the diameter A and the grip length, you can probably find some surplus items available on eBay.

    Good luck, Jimmy

Turns out these pins are not hard to find -- available in many sizes and diameters on Amazon. I found the one I was looking for:
