    Gas Door Protection Flap LWB

    Simple question
What is the color of the flexible protection flap for the gas door?
    What is the proper material?
Thanks in advance for an answer

Do you mean the protective cap/ Fuel filler flap that prevents a fuel stations fuel nozzle from harming the paint on the fender? If so it should be grey. I know that aasesales and Sierra Madre sells repros. I dont know if Porsche still sells the original type or just the later G-style flaps.

Not always just grey. Many 69 cars had flaps that were orange on one side and grey on the other. I have an original 73 car with a flap that is black on one side and grey on the other. Wouldn't surprise me if there were other variants as well.

I feel pretty confident that this one is not an original.

The flap in my 8/71 (early MY '72) is also orange/gray, just like the one pictured.
