    Vin and production date??

    hi Friends,

one of my family member bought an 1969 T model , VIN corresponding , matching , Karmann production..... but on the COA the car has a production date March 68 ...

for me it seems impossible, so i suppose a stamp error ..

i do not know of a 69 model produces before the summer vacation of 68!

    any clues ?

    thanks steve

CoA usually never include production date.
List the CoA to see/share the info.

The COA for my ‘69 S doesn’t list a production date per se, but does list a “Birth Date / Delivery Date”.

I would need the VIN to compare to my database. It is extremely unlikely that it would be a March 1968 car. It is probably a typo, but need to do some research to prove it. One good reason why the Kardex is more reliable than the CoA. PM or email if you do not wish the VIN broadcast.

Delivery date is usually importer/dealer related and can be found on a Kardex too, production date however is when the car was built at factory, which is never published.
