    The Burgundy Thread

Let's see what you all have in the way of images of burgundy cars. Period photos of competition cars would be great to see. I've collected some. I'll start with mine.
It's not a recent photo, and I'm thinking about making some changes. This is part of my motivation for this thread. I'm looking for ways of enhancing my burgundy car. This car's paint code is 2424G, but it has been resprayed. The jambs are original, however, and the repaint is a very good color match.

Perhaps the ultimate burgundy 911 is Frank Enea's old car. You can see more here: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...read.php?40626 . Here is a taste of it:

I also like this example from the UK. I think the paint code on this must be 6808, not 2424:

Here is a SWB example. I understand that the paint code is different for the earlier cars. Less brown, more red:

Here are some of Registry member Tom Ching's 1969 911E. I will let him add more, or you can check out a few more of my photos by clicking a photo and browsing the flickr set.

Here are some more during its sorting out period. As you can tell, he drives the car as a Porsche should be driven.

    ...since you're an Rgrupp'er: drop-it, rake-it, and get rid of the front plate and you're 90 % there. !!!!

    Max-
Thanks for posting Tom's car. I hadn't seen any recent photos. It's looking great!

    Curt-
The front plate is going to go. It's there in order to hide an amazing number of holes that have been provided for an amazing variety of ideas about mounting the plate. I'll have those filled, along with those for securing the deco.

Here is Earl Green's old car, often confused for mine. Anyone know where this is now?
