    Charging light burns constantly (1973T)

Replaced my original Motorola/Marschal/SEV alternator with a (Hattz?) new alternator with an internal regulator. Alternator works great, charges 14.5V but the problem I have is the charge light stays on.
I did the "Valeo" factory service modification by soldering a resistor in parallel with the indicator light but still burns. Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

You may need a higher wattage bulb in your warning light. I think 8 vs. 4 watts but there is information on Pelican or a factory bulletin.
