FS: Porsche Speedster Typ 540 Quintessential Sports Car Book

Up for sale is a rare and quite hard to find copy of Porsche Speedster Type 540 Quintessential Sports Car by marque and model experts Steven Heinrichs, Marco Marinello, Jim Perrin, Les Raskin, Charles Stoddard and Donald Zing.

“In this definitive book, the authors, each a recognized Porsche expert in the specific subject matter about which he has written, bring together the details of the creation, marketing and development of the Porsche Speedster and its impact on racing and on racing and entertainment personalities during the special era of the 1950s. All aspects of this remarkable car are told here with many previously unpublished photographs and memos, and with much newly discovered documentation of Porsche’s decision making and then ending its production and replacing it with the short-lived Convertible D.” (from inside dust jacket)

This book was published in connection with the 50th Anniversary Event for the Porsche Speedster held in June 2004. Due to the passing of author and publisher Heinrichs, this definitive book on the 356 Speedster is very difficult to come by and no more editions are expected.

Asking $525 plus PayPal fees but including shipping in the lower 48
